The new posts expand the accountancy and business advisory practice’s specialist debt team to ten professionals.

In a statement, Azets said: “The expansion of the team further enhances Azets’ ability to support businesses across the UK with specialist, independent funding advice, backed by an extensive network of lenders and funding providers.

“This enables clients to secure the right funding solutions to support growth, investment and long-term resilience.”

The practice assists organisations in optimising working capital, assessing existing capital structures, and securing debt packages to provide operational liquidity and facilitate expansion.

Azets Debt Advisory national head Mark Barrie said: “Businesses are operating in an environment where preserving cash flow, managing funding requirements and maintaining financial flexibility are more important than ever.

“We continue to see strong demand from businesses looking to strengthen their financial position, secure growth funding and navigate an evolving lending market.

“Matt and Lyle bring significant experience and will help clients access a wide range of funding solutions, from invoice finance and asset-based lending through to growth capital, refinancing and acquisition funding.”

Last month, Azets appointed Simon Prior as tax director for Devon and Cornwall.

In July, the company picked Jessica Lawrence, an Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales-qualified chartered accountant, as office managing partner in Leeds.
